We thought the rooms and facilities were great. The rooms was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and of particular mention were Joaquim from the kitchen staff who guided my wife, who has various dietary issues, through the safe options and even prepared some food specially for her. Also Carlos and his colleagues who looked after us superbly in the restaurant. We came as part of a Classic Car group tour and the other members were equally well attended.
Only the lifts. I guess it is a difficult choice - several small lifts to get lesser numbers to individual floors quickly or larger lifts to get greater numbers to many floors but slower. In the end we usually took the stairs. These could be better sign posted.

Excellent hotel. We had a wonderful stay in this hotel for one week. Room had gorgeous view of the sea and the pool area. The breakfast buffet was excellent, great choices available. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, housekeeping came everyday to ensure the room was clean. The staff were very helpful with any queries etc. Michael checked us in, gave us information about the area and then ensured we had a taxi to bring us to airport at the end of our stay. The pool area was lovely, with a bar for food and drink options. Overall, we had a great stay here, I would not hesitate to recommend. I will definitely be returning for another stay at this hotel. Good experience from start to finish.
The water in the fridge is not complimentary. This should be clear on a sign/leaflet etc. as it complimentary in the majority of hotels I stay in.

Lovely hotel, very family friendly. Great staff, helpful, friendly - particularly reception. Good big bedrooms - our sea view room truly had a fantastic view. Great pool, well maintained. Would highly recommend.

I loved everything about the vila Gale in Cascais the breakfast was great plenty of lovely fruit.Our room was lovely and bright on the 5th floor.Great staff. Looking forward to seeing you all again.Lovely area for lunch near the pool.

We stayed here in June 2012 for one week and liked it so much, we returned for 2 weeks in June 2013. The location is excellent - right by the ocean and beside a beautiful park. A lovely 10 minute walk takes you to the center of the small fishing village of Cascais.

The location of this hotel is fantastic - directly in front of the Atlantic Ocean and beside a lovely park and palace. The stroll to the town has breath taking views and would be missed if you stayed at another hotel. The hotel itself has wonderful rooms with a variety of different views, great food and excellent staff. We loved it so much we are planning our trip for 2013 and will stay at the Vila Gale, Cascais!
